The UVEX Exxential III MIPS is an advanced version of the bestselling Exxential III model, designed to provide even more effective protection for the rider’s head. Thanks to MIPS BPS (Brain Protection System) technology, the helmet provides increased safety during angled impacts—the type of impact that occurs most often in real-world falls.

How does the MIPS system work?

During a fall, a rider’s head can be subjected to rotational movement, which increases the risk of both mild and serious brain injuries. The MIPS system adds a thin, low-friction layer inside the helmet, positioned between the outer shell and the lining.

This layer allows the head to move approximately 10–15 mm relative to the helmet, helping to:

• Reduce rotational forces acting on the brain
• Redirect and disperse impact energy
• Reduce the risk of neurological injuries

This provides an additional level of protection that can increase rider safety during a fall.
